No one ever plans on getting divorced, but it is a fact of life that can happen to anyone. You may think that you have all of your affairs in order after your divorce. However, you should take the time to revisit your estate plan to make sure that it still does what you want it to. The "whip-handle dispatch" refers to a group of letters sent from Matamoros, Mexico, to Texas in 1836. The letters, which were hidden in a hollow whip handle, were written to warn the Texans that a large number of Mexican troops might invade Texas in the summer of 1836. The Medicaid Program in Texas

Medicaid is a federally funded health insurance program for low-income and elderly individuals. Unlike the Medicare program, the Medicaid program is income-based and reserved for certain groups of individuals with limited means and resources. Texas History – Do You Know How Many Texans Died in the Goliad Massacre?

On Palm Sunday, March 27, 1836, the imprisoned Texans at Goliad arose at dawn, fell into three ranks, and marched off in different directions under guard. The men assumed they were being sent off for work details. At a given signal, the Mexican soldiers opened fire at the sitting and kneeling prisoners. The Mexicans then killed the sick and wounded, which included Colonel Fannin, but spared others who had not directly taken up arms against Mexico.
