Seven (7). The roads were: (1) Old San Antonio Road from San Antonio eastward to Nacogdoches, San Augustine, and to the Sabine River; (2) La Bahia Road from Goliad to join Old San Antonio Road at the Trinity River; (3) Trammel’s Trace leading north from the intersection of Old San Antonio Road at Nacogdoches to Fulton, Arkansas; (4) Liberty-Nacogdoches Road extended from Old San Antonio Road to the mouth of the Trinity River and to Galveston Bay; (5) Atascosito Road went from the settlements east of the Nueces River to the Trinity River by way of San Patricio, Refugio, Goliad, Victoria, San Felipe, and Liberty; (6) Opelousas Road went eastward from Liberty to Louisiana; and (7) San Antonio-Goliad Road followed the San Antonio River between the two cities.
